One for red wine, one for white. The red is made of padauk, the white is curly maple. The stopper is made of black titanium. These two are spoken for, but I’d love to make you one.

Hobbit Boxes
These are fun little boxes, all made from the same chunk of wood, which was actually two layers of padauk sandwiching a layer of purpleheart. The insides are coated with blue flocking.
Black and White Ebony Cheese Planes
These are both spoken for – we’re keeping one ourselves – but I will be making a couple more.

The Kitchen Collection
The Kitchen Collection, originally uploaded by rgdaniel.
Here are four recent wood turnings; two pizza cutters (both made of Pau Ferro) and two cheese slicers (one Pau Ferro, the other in Black and White Ebony).
Unless I find a Canadian source for the hardware kits, these will probably be the only ones of these I build, so enjoy! And do speak up if you’d like one for your very own.
Two Custom Slimline Pens
Two recent custom designs using the Slimline-style hardware in a Satin Nickel finish. On the left, Paduak with a Maple centre band and a Maple Celtic knot in the upper section. On the right, Kingwood with a Cherry centre band.
I may not put these up on the Etsy store, there’s lots up there already, but do let me know if you’re interested. Everything I do is for sale. Dogs need kibble… B-)
Four Rollerball Pens
Four Rollerball Pens
Four recent rollerball designs. The rollerball technology gives fountain pen performance and class, with none of the fuss. The upper (cap) sections unscrew, and may be attached to the other end of the pen while writing.
From left to right: (1) Churchill-style, in red palm (contrasting upper and lower stock); (2) Sedona-style in York Gum Burl; (3) Sedona-style in Kingwood; and (4) Baron-style in Bethlehem Olive Wood.
The Baron’s have a neat Celtic knot-style centre band. The Baron and Sedona styles have a threaded receiver for the cap to screw back onto while using the pen. The Churchill employs a friction fit to hold the cap while in use, or it may be set aside. The Churchill is slightly larger than the others.
I may not put these up on the Etsy store, there’s lots up there already, but do let me know if you’re interested. Everything I do is for sale. Daddy needs a new pair of shoes… B-)
Rollerball Pen – Walnut with Maple wavy lines
Another nerve-wracking but successful Rollerball experience… no, not the 1973 James Caan movie… the equally harrowing Rollerball pen construction… actually it’s not that tough once you know what you’re doing…
This one is black walnut, with inset wavy lines made of maple. You can purchase any of my pens, or most of them, via my ETSY store, if you think you might like one for your very own…
“Churchill” style Rollerball pen
OK now I’m REALLY excited… this is a so-called Churchill-style pen, and one that Winston himself might have been happy to sign important stuff with. The rollerball technology gives fountain pen performance and class, with none of the fuss.
It’s made of African Spalted Stinkwood, which does NOT stink, with a Black & Titanium Gold finish. Several coats of turner’s polish and several coats of wax.
